Heavy Traffic as Bushfire Evacuation Ordered for Peregian Beach

Smokey sky, a fire engine and heavy traffic can be seen in a video captured near Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland. Queensland Fire Services responded to a bushfire at Peregian Springs. Residents were urged to leave Peregian Springs, along with nearby Peregian Beach, Peregian Breeze Estate and Marcus Beach on September 9 at 7.20pm. The fire was one of more than 100 burning across Queensland and New South Wales in hot and windy conditions that officials said were unprecedented this early in spring.
