NATO is ‘unravelling’

Melbourne University’s Michael Wesley says "what we are seeing is a really worrying unravelling of NATO”. Tensions ran high when the US President and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron held a joint news conference at the NATO summit in London. The two world leaders reportedly clashed over a number of issues, including ISIS, Russia and NATO. Mr Wesley told Sky News Macron "was particularly annoyed that America was making strategy in Syria without telling any of its NATO allies”. Image: Getty
