Allegations of abuse heard on first day of Aged Care Royal Commission
Allegations of abuse, mistreatment and over-medication have been heard on the first day of the Aged Care Royal Commission in Adelaide. Barbara Spriggs, whose husband Bob died when he was a patient at the now-closed Older Persons Mental Health facility at Oakden in February 2016, was the first to give evidence. She claims her husband was over-medicated and abused during his stay.
