Helicopter Rescues Injured Climber With Hypothermia From Mountain Near French-Spanish Border

A climber who was injured in a fall was rescued from the Gra de Fajol mountain in northeastern Spain, near the French border, on February 9. Authorities were alerted to the emergency by a friend of the climber who was descending the mountain with him when he slipped and fell. The climber, who had developed hypothermia, was transferred from the mountain by helicopter and was being treated at a hospital in Girona, Spanish media reported.
