Security agencies brief Labor on medivac bill

Security agencies have given Opposition leader Bill Shorten a briefing on ramifications of the controversial medivac bill. The briefing comes one day before the Labor Party is expected to announce its decision on the bill, which will give doctors greater powers to transfer refugees and asylum seekers to Australia. Prime Minister Scott Morrison has warned the bill will dismantle offshore processing, will weaken Australia’s borders and green-light people smugglers. Mr Morrison says Labor has ‘no idea of the consequences they are playing with’ and 'will unleash a world of woe again’ if it supports the bill. Image: News Corp Australia
