Britain needs a second Brexit referendum: Philip Hammond
A key ally of the British Prime Minister has become the first cabinet minister to call for a second referendum to break the Brexit impasse. Chancellor Philip Hammond is pushing for another public vote rather than a leadership change, saying ‘changing prime minister wouldn’t help us’. Britain could be forced to delay Brexit until year’s end or face crashing out of the European Union without a deal if the House of Commons fails to pass an agreement by Friday.
