Julie Bishop to negotiate release of Australians detained in Iran
Former foreign minister Julie Bishop has offered to help the government secure the release of three Australians jailed in Iran. Melbourne woman Kylie Moore-Gilbert is being held in an Iranian prison after being arrested more than a year ago. She is joined by travel-blogging couple Jolie King and Mark Firkin who were detained in Tehran nearly three months ago for allegedly flying a drone near a military base. Ms Bishop said she had a long-standing relationship with Iran's foreign minister and was happy to help if asked. Image: News Corp Australia
