Labor calls for veteran suicide royal commission

Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has called for a Royal Commission into veteran suicide during a speech to his Labor caucus. The Morrison Government resisted calls for a royal commission, despite acknowledging more needs to done to support veterans after they transition into civilian life. Veterans Affairs Minister Darren Chester said he doesn't believe an inquiry is necessary given there is so much research into defence and PTSD.
