Dangerous locust plague hits Africa

Authorities across East Africa are grappling with one of the worst outbreaks of locusts in 25 years. Hundreds of thousands of acres of crops have been destroyed posing an unprecedented threat to food security. Unusual climate conditions are partly to blame for the outbreak of the insects which fly together in the millions.
