Severe storms lash Queensland

A major storm system is moving through South East Queensland causing flash flooding on major roads. A severe thunderstorm warning has been lifted from Noosa to the Gold Coast as the system moves down into New South Wales. The Bureau of Meteorology says 90 millimetres of rain fell in an hour on Saturday morning around the Sunshine Coast area.
